THE CPP-NPA’s FAR SOUTH MINDANAO REGIONAL PARTY COMMITTEE

The Far South Mindanao Regional Party Committee (FSMR) is the highest policy-making body of the CPP-NPA in the region. It covers Saranggani Province, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, and portion of Davao Del Sur

Unknown to many, it was the FSMR that caused AK-NAFLU-KMU’s victory in the much-contested certification election against the rejectionist National Federation of Labor (NFL) in 2001. Prior to its victory, most of AK-NAFLU-KMU’s execom and BODs have undergone the CPP-NPA’s ideological/political/organizational courses and have been into exposure in the guerilla zones prior to oath taking. Thus, the union is run by party members. Proof to this is the presence of identified FSMR personalities inside the union’s office and the utilization of the same as sanctuary of NPA guerillas after every tactical offensive in the neighboring areas covered by FSMR. It was also in this office that the families of terrorist NPA guerillas got their monthly subsistence called SUPAMIL or Suporta sa Pamilya. (Expose’ of the following: Jean Bariquit, a former NPA team leader and daughter of NPA commander Tolentino Bariquit aka Brigol; Lyndon Pasilan aka Magno, a former combatant of the FSMR Regional Operational Command and Armando Abapo aka Speed, former intelligence officer of FSMR and team leader of the NPA’s Special Operations Group)
